"Tony Scott has reinvented himself to the place he is happiest. He has taken total control over all his output as a DJ and producer as Edit Select. Tony has been producing electronic music since the early nineties. He's remixed Adam Beyer, Slam, Gary Beck, Mark Broom, Death in Vegas, and others. Acid house was the catalyst to kick start his DJ career in 1989 with Todd Terry's "Black Riot" and Richie Rich's "Salsa House" being pivotal records for him. In 2007, he started the Edit Select record label which has since yielded an output that is consistently high in both quality and popularity amongst the cream of the techno crop." "A bad ass behind the decks, and in the studio since 1998...his productions ended up on some bigger techno labels as well as more obscure imprints. Along with Ian Lehman, he forged the well-received “Attack People†live performance…bringing his show across the US, to South America, and Europe as well. When he’s not on tour with his DJ sets or supercharged live pa sessions, he co-promotes some of Minneapolis’s biggest techno parties. In addition, he also manages his labels Abiotic Recordings and Enemy Records, which both receive wide support from the techno community." RA

Compakt are delighted to welcome Joey Beltram into Edinburgh for a rare Scottish date at the Wonderful Cabaret Voltaire.
Its quite hard to sum up the impact Joey Beltram has had on the house and techno scene, he has consistently been releasing fantastic club music since 1990. From the genre defining "Energy Flash" right through to last years "The Scorpion ep" on drumcode. Joey is one of the few artists in our mind who was not only part of the dance scene in the beggining, but still innovating and creating quality underground music.
Joey Beltram will be supported by Compakt residents Paul Nisbet, Bruno FK and new recruit DD.
Room 2 will host djs in the shape of Brad Charters (Kapital), Chris Meja & The Jakal (Fixate/Touch) and The Physicist (Synthetic).
